Experienced Mechanic

Part Time / Full Time

Pegasus Classic Engineering specialises in the restoration, preparation, and operation of historic racing cars from the 1950s to the present day.

Our team boasts over 80 years of racing experience across various prestigious platforms, including Formula 1, Le Mans, and GT racing.

We are seeking candidates on a self-employed basis who strive for perfection and aspire to work in an environment where quality is paramount. The individual must be able to operate with a high level of detail and accuracy and have an enthusiasm for classic cars.

Your responsibilities will include –

  • Race Car preparation for events

  • Ground up rebuilds and restorations

  • Gearbox rebuilds

  • Fiberglass bodywork fitting

  • Attendance at Race meetings and Test days both in the UK and Europe

Mechanics

Part Time / Full Time

We are looking for a number of experienced mechanics to join us on a full-time or part-time basis, operating out of our brand-new facility in Lutterworth, UK. The individuals must be able to operate with a high level of detail and accuracy and have a full driving licence. Race-team experience would be beneficial but not essential.

Pegasus Classic Engineering restores and operates racing cars from the 1960s to the present day, including a Lola T70, Chevron B16, Lotus Elan 26R and a 2010 LMP1 car.

A general knowledge of light fabrication and welding would be a benefit but not essential. Weekend work and travel to races will be required, including a limited number of overseas trips.
